I work exclusively in oils and for most pieces paint on linen canvas that I mount on hardboard. This makes the finished piece much more durable and safer in transport than stretched canvas. I take great pride in gathering all my own reference photos. It's a part of the job I love and has blessed me with many amazing adventures over the years! Each piece is framed with a custom, hand made, closed corner frame.
These are small originals in oil (usually 8 x 10 or smaller) that help me continue to improve. The landscapes are done "plein air" or from life. Sometimes I'll do a little finish work in the studio. The animal studies focus on the head or a gesture with more of a portrait style without getting into an involved background. These are a great option for more affordable originals.
I draw and sketch almost every day. The emphasis of my art is oil painting so most sketches are taken only far enough to where I can use them to start a painting. A few get taken a little farther so I'm now offering some of these as another affordable option for those wanting to collect original work. These are sold unframed.
I currently offer 12 images as Limited edition Giclees. Each image is available in an Archival Canvas Edition limited to only 49 prints or an Archival Paper Edition limited to only 49 prints.
The Archival Canvas Giclee Edition is printed on archival canvas and coated with a satin/semi gloss UV protective coating and then stretched on stretcher bars just like an original oil.
The paper prints are printed on heavy, luster photo paper. Each print is then shrink wrapped on foam core for protection until you are ready to matte and frame. Each come with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
I also have some giclee's now that are open edition along with Metal Plate Prints. These are just signed but not numbered or limited. The Metal Plate prints have really become popular in the past few years and are very striking.
