Laying up in some cool rocks resting during the heat of the day is the setting for this mountain lion. They are probably one of the most amazing predators in North America and have expanded their range back east out of the rocky mountains as the deer herds have exploded to record numbers over the past 3 decades. While their numbers are strong they are still probably one of the most difficult animals to ever see in the wild.
